DI GIANNANTONIO SHOWS IMPRESSIVE RACE TAKING THE SECOND STEP OF THE PODIUM. COURAGEOUS COMEBACK BY NAVARRO, FOURTH AT THE FINISH LINE

Fabio Di Giannantonio brought his Speed ​​Up SF19T to the second step of the podium of the Czech Republic Grand Prix with a performance over the top. The Roman rookie demonstrated throughout the weekend that he had the right feeling and the necessary pace to reach the top positions, and so it was. From the fifth position Fabio started very well, taking third at the end of the first lap. A few turns after the number 21 of the team was second behind Marquez managing to maintain a constant pace until the end of the 19 laps in which he crossed the finish line in second position.
Jorge Navarro’s race was also excellent although the wrong start penalized him. From the eleventh position on the grid, Jorge closed the first lap fifteenth but without losing heart because after some continuous overtaking he was already fifth at the end of the tenth lap. Navarro’s pace was rapid and constant enough to take third place behind Marquez and Diggia. He ended the race in fourth position aware of having put his heart and soul into it.

“Happy because we returned from the summer break in good shape. We have been competitive throughout the weekend, unfortunately we started too far and not well, but as soon as I managed to find my rhythm I immediately started to overtake. When starting from so far back it is not easy to recover. Arriving at the third position I knew I couldn’t reach Fabio and Alex and since the rear tyre was giving me non-positive signals I didn’t push. I didn’t exactly know the distance with Bastianini, I relaxed a little and I lost my position. Of course I’m sorry, but we remain more than positive for the work we are doing!”
