Sifar, the repair market between savings and the environment

The market for the repair of gadgets and technological devices is divided in two. On the one hand that of the authorized assistance channel, on the other the independent repairer. A scenario that, also thanks to the various institutional requests from international organizations such as the European Union, is leading many brands to "open up" to the various centers to expand repair opportunities for the user. A context that goes hand in hand with safeguarding the planet, reducing waste and, in our case, technological waste. In this panorama, Sifar plays a fundamental role.

The company has over twenty years of experience in the mobile phone sector and is a reference point for the supply of spare parts and accessories for smartphones and tablets. Today it is the official spare parts supplier for Huawei, Samsung, Wiko, Asus and Oppo. As Giovanni and Andrea Sibilla, founding partners of Sifar, explain to us: “We specialize in the sale of compatible and original spare parts, in addition to the official distribution of spare parts, we also supply original and compatible elements for the most famous producers on the market“. Outside the mainboard of devices, Sifar intervenes on everything that surrounds smartphones and tablets, thus covering almost 100% of users' repair needs.

According to the two managers, there are about 5,000 authorized centers in Italy. “If we consider that the PC market has merged, in recent years, with that of mobile phones and tablets, then the number can be even greater. We mainly supply spare parts but we combine some products that are used to diagnose the device and that provide services such as certified data transfer or deletion, in the case of sale of the phone to a third party or disposal " .

Sifar serves the whole country, from North to South. Even the smallest countries can benefit from a contact point in their vicinity, thanks to the extended location. As Sifar explains, most of the repairs are carried out on the first and second level. It involves the repair of LCD screens, batteries and mechanical parts, without the need for micro welding.

There are also centers more equipped to carry out complex operations, which can be carried out by specially trained personnel, thanks to special courses. "Preparation is absolutely essential - they continue - we ourselves rely on third parties to offer training programs". This is to prevent unprofessional figures from appearing on the market, unable to respond to customer needs. No less important is the issue of data, its safe and secure transfer.

The repair market is growing, both for concrete business and interest. The quality of the spare parts itself has increased over time, creating a context that is not afraid of being able to solve problems with the same value as the parent company. Manufacturers are looking for partners who give continuity, seriousness and respect certain rules, "for this reason , we put our seal on spare parts because we know that every product leaves the company in the best possible way ".

Like all markets, even the repair one is suffering severe delays for the supply chain. We are talking about weeks, instead of days to have a mobile phone screen repaired and the like but nothing that goes on further. A slowdown that, especially in recent months, can give an advantage to those who offer spare parts privately, at a lower price. A scenario that does not always indicate the quality of the parts, on the contrary.
